Paxus CPA · Accounting and CFO advisory services

Every CFO call, prepped in one run.

I just kind of watched it work.
Cassie Rigsby, Paxus CPA

The problem

The prep takes the advisor, and the prep competes with the advising.

Cassie Rigsby preps for recurring CFO client calls at Paxus, and every call takes the same four steps. She writes the email, builds the dashboard, runs the forecast, and drafts the meeting agenda. Then she does it again for the next client, and the next.

Each step leans on what she knows about the client’s finances, which is why the prep is hers to begin with. The steps rarely change from client to client, though, and doing them by hand, one piece at a time, ate up a real chunk of her week: hours of a CFO advisor’s time spent assembling materials instead of advising.

The solution

One reusable skill that pulls what it needs, checked by the person who knows.

Benali worked with Cassie to turn that routine into a reusable skill in Claude AI. She started with a single client, gave Claude everything the prep needed, and got the result she wanted. Then she generalized those steps into one skill she can point at any CFO client.

Now she runs the skill and gives it the client name, and Claude pulls the client’s numbers and materials on its own, then builds all four pieces. In her words: “Now I can literally just go in and run this skill and give it the client name and it goes in and pulls everything that it needs.” She reviews what comes back before anything reaches a client. The numbers get her eye; the agenda gets her judgment about what this client actually needs to talk about.

Time & impact

Four steps became one run. The saved hours became advisory time.

She used to prep the email, then the dashboard, then the forecast, then the agenda, in sequence. On her latest call, all four ran at once while she watched.

Every client now gets the full prep every time, nothing gets trimmed on a busy week, and the advisor walks into each call having spent her prep time thinking about the client instead of assembling documents. The four steps were always in service of the conversation they feed, and the conversation is where Cassie earns her keep. That’s where her time goes now.

Let’s talk

What do you rebuild from scratch before every client call?

When the same prep repeats for every client, we can collapse all of it into a single run.
